Borgess Medical Center’s state-of-the-art 30-bed critical care is compri! sed of four independently designated units: Cardiac, Cardiac S! urgical, Surgical & Trauma, and southwest Michigan’s only dedicated Neuro ICU. Borgess Critical Care consistently exceeds national standards of care. Our exceptional nursing staff in combination with our 24/7 team of highly experienced Intensivists are able to deliver cutting-edge technology and care to our most critical patients.
Borgess Cardiology
Borgess Medical Center offers the most comprehensive cardiovascular medicine program in southwest Michigan. The program includes a research institute, invasive forefront cardiology and a strong educational base. The facilities include six state-of the-art cardiovascular laboratory rooms where 5,000 procedures are performed each year. Additionally, there are three operating rooms dedicated to cardiovascular surgery making Borgess one of the largest open-heart surgery programs in the Midwest. We are devoted to advancing the science of cardiac medicine and shaping the future of heart care. That’s why our cardi! ac program includes:
Twelve-bed coronary critical care unit
Sixty-bed telemetry monitored unit
Seven-bed cardiac surgery intensive care unit
Three dedicated surgical suites
Six cardiovascular labs
Interventional (minimally invasive) procedures

Performs over 7,000 cardiac procedures and 2,600 cardiac interventions per year.
The only facility in southwest Michigan to earn a Full Cycle II Chest Pain Accreditation.

Requirements:
BCLS
ACLS
Cardiac RN experience required
ICU Rn experience preferred
Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
MI RN licensure or eligiblity required
